Sunday in The Park: All Ages, Free Live Music Event in Burnie Park

Sunday December 4th

Many Burnie residents will remember the days when all ages live music events at the soundshell in Burnie Park were a regular event…and this coming Sunday December 4th we’ll be bringing back just that and a little bit more.

Sunday in the Park sees a total of six Tasmanian bands (many of which who have taken the stage at some of the State’s leading festivals) take over the soundshell from 12pm onwards. Bands including Charlotte Woods, Jada Li as well as special guest Marcus Wynwood will be filling Burnie Park with their tunes.

Onsite their will also be workshops by Drop In Skate School, free face panting and Pop Up Food Van to ensure everyone can grab a bite to eat. It will be a great day for Burnie residents of any age, from young people wanting to attend their first mini-festival through to the older residents who may wish to re-live the nostalgia of the past.

The event is being run with funding from the Alcohol & Drug Foundation’s Local Drug Action Team program and is coordinated by a local partnership that includes Tasmanian Rock Challenge, IO Performance, Burnie Works and YFCC.

This event is strictly drug, alcohol & cigarette free.
