Burnie Works is seeking a Project Coordinator to join its team for a short-term project ‘No Loose Threads’.

Burnie Works is a collective impact initiative contributing to positive change in the areas of education, employment, justice, child youth families and wellbeing.

As the Project Coordinator – No Loose Threads for Burnie Works Ltd, you will hold a pivotal role in coordinating stakeholder engagement for this ambitious project, commencing from late August and concluding in early November. This project is strategically aimed at shaping a model for place-based investment in six Tasmanian communities.

Liaising with the Project Lead you will work closely with community members and organisations, government bodies and other stakeholders to organise multiple engagement activities across Tasmania. You will need to be able to work autonomously with limited supervision.

To be successful in this role, you must possess exceptional organisational and project management skills, alongside outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. Moreover, a keen eye for detail is essential for effectively handling tasks and projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing significant projects and activities involving a diverse range of people and organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering projects to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in working independently to deliver project objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A knowledge of place based collective impact would be an advantage.

Available to start approximately Monday 21 August.

Driver licence and vehicle (a generous vehicle allowance will be paid for the duration of the project)
