Roger is a forensic pathologist and also the Professor of Pathology at The University of Adelaide. He performs autopsies on cases of sudden and unexpected death for the State Coroner and Major Crime in South Australia.
Roger grew up in Wynyard and went to school at Marist College in Burnie before studying medicine at the University of Tasmania.
Roger has been involved in many cases over the years including the Snowtown serial killings, as well as working with the Australian Federal Police identifying bodies after the Bali Bombings in 2002 and the SE Asian Tsunami in 2006.
Roger is registered as an Expert with the International Criminal Court in the Hague and was a member of a war crimes commission examining the killings in Srebrenica during the Balkan Wars.
