The community organisation is set to run a series of workshops this week, with multiple centred around using data for collective change.
Teaming up with data analytics firm SEER, Burnie Works will be compiling a publicly-accessible data set that will outline key statistics for the region – covering areas such as educational engagement levels, employment rates, health snapshots.
It’s about learning how to use data to tell a more accurate story, said measurement and learning officer Kylie Burgess.
“We realise that raw numbers don’t tell the whole story, and often the information is not shared in a way that communities can access it,” Ms Burgess said.
