We’ve just received the books for the term 4 ‘Books in Homes’ program!
The Burnie Books in Homes initiative supports the development of a love of reading by providing students in Burnie public primary schools and Child and Family Learning Centres with Launching into Learning programs.
We would like to acknowledge and thank our partners who have helped to deliver the Books in Homes program in Burnie in 2021/22 – the Department of Education Tasmania, Natone, Ridgley, Havenview, Montello, Romaine Park, Burnie and Cooee Primary Schools, Burnie Child and Family Centre, Libraries Tasmania – Burnie and Communities for Children – Catholic Care.
Burnie Works are looking for partners to help fund Books in Homes in 2023 and beyond to provide books of choice to families and children, ensuring a crucial early literacy engagement and the development of reading skills needed for lifelong success.
